Gateway Village Leut

The Wild Grazers

Along the Meuse, impressive Galloway cattle and Konik horses graze. These large grazers play a vital role in maintaining and developing the wild nature areas in the Maasvallei. In winter, the sturdy Galloway cattle prune trees and shrubs, creating a medium-length grass mat important for biodiversity. Ferries

Rivierpark Maasvallei has four ferries, two of which are in Maasmechelen: Jung II between Uikhoven and Geulle, and Haol Euver II between Meeswijk and Berg aan de Maas.
