Anyone who has ever visited a village in the Maas region of Limburg (or lives there) knows that the rich history of the Maas Valley is still tangible in the many monuments and village-scapes. Starting this summer holiday, five of these Maas villages can be discovered via a new heritage hike in the Erfgoed app. It’s no coincidence that these are the five starting villages from which you can already discover the Maas Valley River Park: Oud-Rekem, Leut, Stokkem, Aldeneik, and Kessenich. All in all, these hikes shed light on over 42 Maasland monuments.
Starting points
Kerkplein Leut, Genieskensstraat n/n, 3630 Maasmechelen.
There is plenty of free parking available.
How do you get started?
