Would you like to stroll along the river banks? Then take this 10.2 km tour through the Maas Valley River Park.
You will discover the extensive nature reserves of Mazenhoven and Maesbempder Greend and hike through the mining collapse area, with the latter being created by the former mining activity that took place there. You can see groundwater bubbling up from the surface here. Part of this water is used for the production of drinking water for many families in Limburg. You will also pass the Kruinenpad. The Kruinenpad runs between the treetops like a real air bridge in the mining collapse area. This fantastic experience does not disappoint. From the Kruinenpad, you have a fabulous view of the mining collapse area and its consequences, while enjoying a beautiful concert by the songbirds in the treetops. The Kruinenpad is 181 metres long and freely accessible every day from sunrise to sunset.
