Miners’ House Museum
"The life of a mining family"
These miners often came from different corners of Europe and beyond. Upon arriving in Maasmechelen, they were housed in the Eisden Garden District. Although life today looks very different, the characteristic houses still stand. The Miners’ House Museum offers a unique glimpse into the past.
No screens or touchscreens here—just a house filled with authentic furniture, decorations, and tools that provide a vivid picture of a mining family's life. The museum can be visited by reservation.
