As if that were not enough, the heath turns a magnificent shade of purple from August to September, transforming the area into a picturesque setting that is perfect for walking.

Planning a visit to the Mechelse Heide? Your adventure can start at the Mechelse Heide Gateway (Joseph Smeetslaan 280, 3630 Maasmechelen) or at the Station Eisden access point (Spoorwegstraat, 3630 Maasmechelen). Both starting points offer parking facilities.
