The Valley of the Kikbeek Spring is a nature reserve of 120 hectares located in and around a former sand and gravel quarry in Maasmechelen, where springs feed a water pool, which then nourishes the Kikbeek and flows into the Maas River.
The valley is part of the hiking area of the Hoge Kempen National Park – Mechelse Heide.
The blue walking loop guides you over a 4.6 km route through the old sand quarry and heathland landscapes. Keep your eyes open! You might spot the grazing Fjord horses.
